Camembert parcels with preserved figs

Ingredients (5)

3 camembert cheese
6 phyllo pastry — sheets
3 figs — preserved
1 fresh thyme
100 g butter

Method:

Preheat oven to 160 ºC.
Melt the butter in the microwave.
Roll out the sheets of phyllo and brush the first one with melted butter.
Double it over and brush again.
Cut the 3 Camemberts in half and place 1 half in the middle of the brushed phyllo.
Cut the figs half and then into small slices and place half onto the cheese.
Place a few sprigs of thyme on the top and wrap it all up with the pastry, turning the top to make a little twisted parcel.
Brush the outside with butter and place on a baking tray.
Do the same with all the others.
Bake for 10 minutes or until the pastry is golden.
To serve: Place on the centre of a small plate and serve with toasted ciabatta or fresh French bread.
Tip: You can prepare these the night before and keep them in the fridge.
