Cajun-spiced fish salad

Ingredients

    ml
    flour
  • 25
    ml
    Cajun spice
  • 500
    g
    kingklip or hake fillets, cut into strips
  • 100
    ml
    oil
  • 1
    packet lettuce leaves
  • 1
    avocado, sliced
  • 1
    red or white onion, thinly sliced
  • Parmesan cheese, shaved
  • mayonnaise or tzatziki, to serve
 

Method

15 minutes
 
Mix the flour and Cajun spice and coat the fish strips with it.
Heat the oil in a large frying pan and cook the fish in batches until golden and cooked through.
Arrange the fish on a plate with the salad ingredients and serve drizzled with mayonnaise or tzatziki.
Variation:Replace kingklip with 500 g calamari tubes or rings and coat in spice mix to amke the salad.
