Bully beef slices

    cake flour
  • pinch salt

    baking powder

    margarine, grated
  • 200

    milk
  • 1
    egg yolk
  • FILLING
  • 300

    bully beef, diced (corned beef)
  • 30
    ml
    mayonnaise
  • 5
    ml
    mustard powder
  • a little Worcestershire sauce
  • 30
    ml
    chopped parsley
  • 100
    g
    grated Cheddar cheese
 

Method

 
Preheat the oven to 200 ºC (400 ºF). Spray a small loaf pan with non-stick spray. Sift together the dry ingredients and, using your fingertips, rub in the margarine until well blended. Add the milk and egg yolk and mix. The dough will be fairly soft. Press half the dough into the bottom of the prepared pan. Mix all the ingredients for the filling, but reserve a little of the grated cheese. Spoon the filling over the dough, spreading it evenly. Spread the rest of the dough over the filling, sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bake for about 20 minutes or until the crust is done. Serve with chutney.
