Ingredients (13)

300.00 g bully beef
15.00 ml oil — or butter
1.00 onion — medium, sliced into rings
10.00 ml curry powder
375.00 ml water — hot
15.00 ml vinegar — grape
30.00 ml raisins — seedless
1.00 apples — green, diced
45.00 ml chutney — fruit
7.00 ml sugar
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
10.00 ml cornflour — slurry
15.00 ml cream

Method:

Remove the fat from the bully beef. Cut the bully beef into 1 cm squares. Heat the oil and sauté the onion rings until tender. Add the curry powder and fry for another minute.
Add the water and vinegar, raisins, diced apple, chutney and sugar, season with salt and pepper, and simmer slowly for 5 minutes.
Add the diced bully beef and simmer until heated through. Thicken the sauce with cornflour paste and simmer for 1 minute. Stir in the cream, remove from the stove and serve with rice and vegetables.
Serves 4.
