Brussel sprouts with mayonnaise and Parmesan topping

    butter

    medium tomatoes, chopped

    chives, chopped
  • salt and pepper

    ml
    mayonnaise
  • 30
    ml
    Parmesan cheese
  • 30
    ml
    almonds, toasted
  • 1

  • nutmeg, salt and pepper

    mayonnaise

    Parmesan cheese

Method

25 minutes
 
Preheat oven to 180 °C.
Boil the brussel sprouts in boiling salted water for 5 to 10 minutes, or until tender.
Remove from heat and drain well.
Place brussel sprouts in a buttered casserole dish and cover them with tomatoes and chives.
Sprinkle vegetables with nutmeg and season with salt and pepper.
Pour over the mayonnaise and sprinkle with grated cheese and toasted almonds.
Bake for 15 minutes until nicely browned and serve hot.
