    dark chocolate

    butter, cut into pieces

    eggs
  • 200

    sugar
  • 5
    ml
    vanilla essence
  • 75
    g
    flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 75
    ml
    sour cream
  • 100
    g
    fruit and nut cake mix
 

Method

 
1. Melt the chocolate and butter in the top of a double boiler over hot water. Cool slightly. 2. Beat the eggs with the sugar in a large bowl until light. Slowly beat in the chocolate mixture. Stir in the vanilla essence. Sift in the flour, a tablespoon at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the salt, sour cream and fruit and nut mix. 3. Pour the batter into a greased 20 cm square cake pan. Bake in a preheated oven at 160 °C for 25 to 30 minutes. The centre should be slightly cakelike. Allow to cool completely on a wire rack before cutting into bars.
