Bread rolls with cheese and nut filling

    rindless bacon
  • oil
  • 65
    nuts, finely chopped
  • 30
    French salad dressing
  • 6
    white or brown bread rolls
  • butter
  • butter lettuce leaves
  • 6
    slices cheese


Fry the bacon in a little oil until slightly crisp. Chop finely and mix with the nuts. Moisten with the salad dressing. Lightly butter the bread rolls and place a butter lettuce leaf inside each roll. Top with a slice of cheese and sprinkle with a little of the nut mixture. Serve while the bacon mixture is still warm. Serves 4-6.
