Ingredients (4)

500.00 g raisins — seedless
1.00 cinnamon — stick
210.00 g sugar
250.00 ml brandy

Method:

Place the raisins, cinnamon stick, sugar and 250 ml water in a saucepan.
Bring the mixture to the boil, then reduce heat and simmer slowly for 10 minutes.
Remove from the heat and drain the raisins.
Spoon the raisins into a sterilised jar and cover with brandy or a mixture of half cooking syrup and half brandy.
Seal and store in a cool dark place.
Serve as a dessert with whipped cream or ice cream, or with a cheese platter.
Makes 1 jar.
