Brandied bananas and bow ties

Ingredients

  • 125
    ml
    sugar
  • 65
    ml
    water
  • 6
    bananas, peeled and sliced thickly diagonally
  • 30
    ml
    brandy
  • 30
    ml
    butter
  • 2
    limes, juice and zest
  • 6
    bought bow ties
 

Method

10 mins
 
Place the sugar and water in a pan and place on medium heat.
Allow sugar to melt, stirring continuously.
Stir until the syrup boils.
Cook for 2 minutes then add the banana slices.
Toss lightly and then add the brandy, butter, lime juice and zest.
Stir lightly and spoon over the bow ties.
