Pre-heat your oven to 200°C. To an ovenproof bowl add your pears with a sprinkling of sugar and a drizzle of olive oil.
Stir everything together and cook for about 15 minutes, (either on the braai or in the oven under the grill until cooked through and the pears start to caramelise and are golden brown).
Meanwhile, cook your boerewors on the braai, for about 15 minutes, depending on the thickness, turning half way.
Remove form the heat and set aside to rest on a warmed serving plate.
Assemble your rolls with the boerewors, grilled pears and Gorgonzola. Also add a few rocket leaves if you like.
