Boerenmeisies (Brandied apricots)

Ingredients

  • 170
    g
    sugar
  • 375
    ml
    brandy (approximately)
  • 500
    g
    plump dried apricots
 

Method

5 minutes
 
Heat the brandy and the sugar, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Do not boil. Leave to cool. Pour the brandy over the apricots. Place the apricots and brandy in sterilised bottles, seal and allow to stand for at least two weeks. Serve as a dessert with whipped cream or over vanilla ice cream or enjoy with a cup of coffee after dinner.
