Blue cheese salad with honey mustard dressing

    coarsely chopped pecan nuts

    avocados, peeled and diced

    lemon juice

    small onion, sliced and separated into rings
  • DRESSING
  • 5
    ml
    sugar
  • 5
    ml
    sea salt
  • 1
    ml
    milled black pepper
  • 5
    ml
    mustard powder
  • 30
    ml
    white wine vinegar or cider vinegar
  • 30
    ml
    water
  • 1
    clove garlic, crushed
  • 60

    olive oil
  • 30

    honey
 

Method

 
Line individual plates with lettuce leaves torn into bite-sized pieces. Arrange cheese, nuts (toasted in a dry non-stick pan), avocado and onion rings on the lettuce. DRESSING: Mix dry ingredients. Add vinegar, water and garlic. Beat with a hand-held blender, adding oil slowly. Lastly, add honey and beat until well combined. Pour over salad just before serving.
