Blue cheese and walnut salad

Ingredients

  • SALAD
  • few leaves butter or Cos lettuce, well rinsed and broken into pieces
  • 125
    g
    blue cheese, broken into pieces
  • 50
    g
    walnuts, coarsely chopped (reserve a few whole nuts)
  • watercress for garnishing
  • SALAD DRESSING
  • 100
    ml
    cider vinegar
  • 10
    ml
    honey
  • 5
    ml
    mustard powder
  • salt and black pepper to taste
 

Method

 
Arrange the lettuce leaves, blue cheese and walnut halves on 4-6 side plates. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts and garnish with watercress. Blend all the ingredients for the salad dressing and pour over the salad just before serving. Serve as a starter. Serves 4-6.
