Ingredients (6)

1.00 bread — small French loaf
olive oil — or butter
2.00 pears
150.00 g blue cheese — or gorgonzola, grated
parmesan cheese — or pecorino cheese, to garnish
breadcrumbs — dry

Method:

Slice loaf into 4 generous pieces. Brush each with olive oil or butter lightly.
Core and slice pears thickly. Place on bread.
Slice blue cheese thinly and place on top of pears. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs. Grill until bubbling.
Serve with lots of fresh watercress or a green salad.
