Beef burgers with butternut chips

Burgers are delicious! Especially when served with a healthier alternative, butternut chips.

Ingredients

 
  • 500
    g
    beef mince
  • 1
    tsp
    Worcestershire sauce
  • 1
    Tbs
    grainy mustard
  • sea salt and black pepper
  • canola or sunflower oil for frying
  • 4
    toasted buns
  • 2
    tomatoes, sliced
  • 1
    baby gem lettuce, sliced
  • 1
    red onion, sliced
  • FOR THE BUTTERNUT CHIPS:
  • 1
    butternut
  • canola or sunflower oil, for deep-frying

Method

 
Preheat oven to 200°C.

In a bowl, mix together the beef mince, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt  and pepper.
Divide mixture into four portions and gently form each into a patty. Heat an oven-proof frying pan, add oil and cook patties for 2 minutes on each side, then place pan in the oven for 10 minutes.
For the butternut chips: peel butter-nut and slice into thin rounds. Heat oil and fry chips until crispy. Season.

Top each bun with one burger patty, lettuce, tomato, onions and seasoning. Serve with butternut chips.
