Ingredients (12)

500.00 g beef mince — lean
1.00 bread — thick slices
100.00 ml milk
1.00 onion — medium, chopped
10.00 ml soy sauce
5.00 ml salt
2.00 ml fresh thyme
2.00 ml dried coriander
freshly ground black pepper — to taste
5.00 bread — white burger buns
lettuce
10.00 tomatoes — sliced

Method:

1. Place mince in a medium-sized mixing bowl. Soak the bread in the milk and crumble. Add to the mince, together with the remaining ingredients. Mix until well combined.
2. Shape into 4-6 patties and place in a baking dish. Microwave on HIGH for 3 minutes. Rotate burgers and cook for a further 3 minutes on HIGH.
3. Cut buns in half and place a lettuce leaf and two slices of tomato on the bottom half, top with the beef burger patty and remaining bun half.
Beef burgers can have various toppings such as cheese, mushrooms and tomato sauce.
Serve with French fries.
