Ingredients (14)

1.00 onion — sliced into rings
2.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
1.00 fresh chillies — deseeded and chopped
oil
7.00 ml cumin — ground
5.00 ml coriander — ground
410.00 g baked beans in tomato sauce
410.00 g curried vegetables
410.00 g sausages — vienna, halved
TOPPING
90.00 g breadcrumbs — fresh
60.00 g oats
50.00 g butter — cold, grated
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
cayenne — little

Method:

Preheat the oven to 190 ºC (375 ºF). Sauté the onion, garlic and chilli in a little oil till soft. Add the cumin and coriander and stir-fry for another minute.
Add the remaining ingredients, except the topping, and mix lightly. Simmer for 5 minutes. Spoon into a deep ovenproof dish.
Mix all the ingredients for the topping. Rub in the butter with your fingertips till well blended. Sprinkle over the bean mixture and bake for 30-35 minutes or till the topping begins to turn brown.
Serve with a salad and bread.
Serves 4-6.
