10.00 g Superbake Instant Yeast
1.00 kg flour — white bread
20.00 ml salt
30.00 ml sugar
30.00 g margarine
625.00 ml water — lukewarm

Method:

Preheat oven to 200 ºC. Grease two large loaf pans.
1. In a large bowl, mix together flour, salt and sugar and add instant dry yeast. Rub in margarine until crumbly. Slowly add just enough lukewarm water, mixing well to form a soft pliable dough. Knead dough well for 10 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.
2. Place dough in a lightly floured container, cover with plastic wrap or a damp cloth, leave to rise for about 45 minutes until double in size.
3. Knock dough down, divide into two equal parts and shape into loaves,. Braid into a twist for a fancy loaf. Bake for about 35 minutes or until the loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
