Basic baking mixture with citrus syrup

  • 250
    ml
    fresh orange juice, strained
  • 50
    ml
    fresh lemon juice, strained
  • 15
    ml
    orange rind
  • 15
    ml
    lemon rind
  • 100
    g
    sugar
 

Method

 
Prepare the basic mixture and spoon into a 27 cm pie dish. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until a testing skewer comes out clean when inserted into the centre of the tart. Prick the tart with a thin skewer. Blend the orange and lemon juice and rind and the sugar in a saucepan and heat slowly until the sugar has melted. Boil for 5 minutes and pour over the hot tart. Cool.
