200.00 g butter — softened
200.00 g castor sugar
2.00 eggs
200.00 g flour — cake
5.00 ml salt
7.00 ml Baking powder

Method:

Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF). Grease a 27 cm pie dish with margarine or butter. Beat the butter and castor sugar together until light and creamy. Add the eggs one by one, beating well after each addition. Sift the cake flour, salt and baking powder together and add to the butter mixture by sifting in small quantities of the dry ingredients while beating continuously. Turn into the prepared pie dish and spread the mixture evenly. (Spread the mixture so that it forms a slight point in the centre, of the dish as the tart is inclined to fall in the centre.) Bake for 30-40 minutes.
