500.00 g white rice
5.00 ml saffron
250.00 g peas — frozen

Method:

Verhit ‘n bietjie olyfolie in ‘n groot kastrol en braai die koningklip-filette vir so 2 minute. Voeg die soetrissies, ui en lourierblare by. Braai vir so 3 minute tot die ui deurskynend is. Voeg die rys, saffraantakkies en so ‘n soplepel van die hoenderaftreksel by. Geur met sout en vars gemaalde swartpeper. Roer goed dat die rys bedek word. Voeg die aftreksel bietjie vir bietjie by tot die rys amper gaar is. Nou voeg jy die steurgarnale, kreefsterte en ertjies by. Laat vir so 10 minute kook en druk dan die sap van 1 suurlemoen oor. Dien op in lekker groot sopborde.
