Bananas with butterscotch sauce

    ripe but still firm bananas, peeled and thickly sliced
  • SAUCE
  • 60
    ml
    butter
  • 85
    ml
    soft, dark brown sugar
  • 150
    ml
    thick cream
 

Method

 
Arrange banana slices on a platter or individual plates (1 1/2 bananas a person). SAUCE: Place all ingredients in a saucepan and heat gently over low heat until sugar has dissolved, stirring occasionally. Bring to boil. Remove from heat and spoon over banana slices. Serve immediately.
