Banana and apple crumble

    white sugar

    cake flour

    baking powder
  • 80
    g
    coconut
  • 125
    g
    margarine
  • 385
    g
    pie apples, chopped slightly smaller
  • 3
    bananas, mashed
 

Method

Preheat the oven to 180 ºC (350 ºF). Grease a 22 cm ovenproof dish. Combine the sugar, cake flour, baking powder and coconut. Rub the margarine into the mixture until well blended. Sprinkle half the mixture into the prepared pie dish and spoon the chopped apple over it, followed by the mashed banana. Sprinkle with the remaining flour mixture. Bake for about 30 minutes or until golden brown. Serve lukewarm with cream or custard. Serves 6.
