Baked pears with blue cheese and nut topping

    large pears
  • lemon juice
  • 80
    g
    blue cheese, crumbled
  • 50
    g
    hazelnuts, roughly chopped
  • 5
    ml
    dried tarragon
 

Method

20 minutes
 
Peel and halve pears, removing core but not stalk. Brush with lemon juice to prevent discolouration. In a bowl, mix together cheese, nuts and tarragon. Place pears in a baking dish and pile cheese mixture into each half. Bake in a preheated 160 °C oven for about 20 minutes until tender. Test with a skewer. Serve with lettuce leaves.
