Baked bananas with Amarula cream

    walnuts

    ml
    butter
  • 2
    ml
    ground cinnamon
  • 30
    ml
    brown sugar
  • 300
    ml
    whipped cream
  • 100
    ml
    Amarula liqueur, well chilled
  • 2
    lemons, grated peel
 

Method

 
Bake bananas in their skins for 15 minutes, or until blackened and bananas have softened. Lightly brown nuts in melted butter with cinnamon and sugar. Whip cream and fold in Amarula liqueur. Split open bananas. Sprinkle with nut mixture and orange peel. Serve with Amarula cream. TOTAL KILOJOULE COUNT: 13 540 kJ (3 235 Cal). A portion: 2 255 kJ (540 Cal).
