Ingredients (7)

4.00 apples — green
red wine
1.00 cinnamon — stick
4.00 star anise — whole
cloves
castor sugar — to taste
125.00 ml cream — whipped, to serve

Method:

Slice and core the apples. Place in a saucepan and cover with red wine. Add cinnamon stick, star anise pods, cloves and castor sugar to taste. Heat gently and simmer until apples are tender.
Serve hot with whipped cream.
