    cake flour

    baking powder

    salt
  • 125
    ml
    butter or margarine
  • 2
    eggs
  • 65
    ml
    water
  • 385
    g
    can pie apples
  • 125
    ml
    raisins
  • 5
    ml
    ground cinnamon
  • 5
    ml
    ground ginger
 

Method

 
Preheat oven to 180 °C. Grease a 22 cm pie dish.
Sift dry ingredients together and rub in butter or margarine until mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
Beat together eggs and 65 ml water and blend to form a dough. (If too dry add a little more water and mix dough until pliable.)
Halve the dough and press one half into the bottom and sides of the pie dish.
Mix apples, raisins, cinnamon and ginger together. Spoon into pastry crust.
On the coarse side of grater, grate remaining dough over filling and spread to cover.
Bake for 30 minutes or until golden. Serve with cream or custard.
