Apple sauce

  • 60
    g
    butter
  • 0.50
    onion, chopped
  • 4
    apples, peeled and diced
  • 125
    ml
    vegetable stock
  • 1
    sprig fresh thyme
  • salt and pepper
  • 5
    ml
    cayenne pepper
 

Method

about 25 minutes
 
Heat the butter in a frying pan and sauté the onions until soft.
Add the apples and cook until caramelised and soft.
Add the vegetable stock and thyme (stripped from the stalk) and cook for two to three minutes. Season with salt, pepper and cayenne pepper. Serve warm with Roast pork with crackling.
