  • 500
    ml
    cake flour
  • 5
    ml
    salt
  • 250
    ml
    milk
  • 2
    extra-large eggs
  • 250
    ml
    grated apple
  • 125
    ml
    grated Cheddar cheese
  • cinnamon sugar for rolling in
 

Method

 
Mix the cake flour and salt in a large mixing bowl. Beat the milk and eggs together and add to the cake flour. Stir until smooth and add the apple and cheese, mixing through. Heat oil in a pan and drop spoonfuls of the batter into the pan. Fry until brown on the outside and cooked inside. Roll in cinnamon sugar and serve lukewarm. Makes about 19 fritters.
