Apple and fig crumble

    mixed spice

    brown sugar

    syrup from fig preserve

    butter

    rolled oats
  • 50
    ml
    desiccated coconut
  • 50
    ml
    melted butter
  • 30
    ml
    honey
 

Method

20-30 minutes
 
1. Layer apple slices in a greased pie dish and top with slices of preserved figs. Sprinkle with the spices and brown sugar. Drizzle with fig syrup and dot with butter. 2. Mix together topping ingredients and sprinkle over the fruit. Bake in preheated 180 ºC oven for 20 to 30 minutes, until topping is golden. Serve warm with whipped cream or custard.
