Ingredients (9)

2.00 green apples
2.00 bananas — sliced
30.00 ml raisins — seedless
45.00 ml castor sugar — or light brown sugar
CRUMBLE
250.00 ml whole wheat flour
50.00 ml butter
15.00 ml castor sugar — or light brown sugar
150.00 g marzipan — grated
45.00 ml almonds — flaked

Method:

Preheat oven to 180 ºC.
Wash, core and cut apples into medium-thick slices. Layer in a baking dish with bananas and sprinkle with raisins and sugar.
CRUMBLE: Rub flour (if using cake flour, it should be sifted) and butter together until mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Stir in sugar, marzipan and almonds.
Scatter mixture over fruit and bake for 20 to 30 minutes.
Serve immediately with ice cream, whipped cream or honey-flavoured yoghurt.
