Almond butter biscuits

Ingredients

  • 250
    ml
    butter
  • 125
    ml
    sugar
  • 5
    ml
    almond essence
  • 1
    ml
    salt
  • 500
    ml
    flour
 

Method

15 minutes
 
Cream the butter and sugar together. Add almond essence.
Sift in the flour and salt and mix well.
Cover and place in fridge to chill.
Shape dough into 2 cm balls and place fairly wide apart on a baking tray. Press design on with a warm cookie stamp - or simply flatten slightly with the tines of a fork. Or, press dough out on a floured surface and use heart-shaped cookie cutters.
Lift carefully and place on baking tray.
Bake at 160 ºC in preheated oven for 12-15 minutes.
