Saucy butternut bobotie

    oil
  • 1
    chopped onion
  • 2
    garlic cloves, crushed
  • 500

    lean beef mince
  • 1
    butternut, cubed
  • 30
    ml
    curry powder
  • 60
    ml
    chutney
  • salt and pepper
  • A few bay leaves
  • 250
    ml
    milk
  • 2
    eggs, whisked
 

Method

Preheat the oven to 180 °C.

1. Heat the oil and fry the onion and garlic. Add the mince and stir-fry. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer. Season and spoon into a dish.

2. CUSTARD: Whisk together the ingredients and pour over the mince. Bake for 30 minutes. Serve with rice.
