Prepare your ice cream maker as per the manufacturer's instructions.Place the cream, milk and coffee in a saucepan and bring it up to a boil. Remove it from the heat and stir in the vanilla.Combine the egg, egg yolk and sugar in a mixing bowl. Whisk in a bit of the cream mixture and then return in all back to the saucepan. Stir it over very low heat for 10-15 minutes. It will thicken slightly and become a thin custard. Let it cool down and then churn it in the ice cream maker. Makes 750ml.
