Pasta with bacon and cheese

Ingredients (8)

350.00 g pasta — shells, uncooked
250.00 g bacon — streaky, chopped
1.00 garlic — cloves, crushed
250.00 g cottage cheese — with herbs
250.00 ml cream
100.00 g peas — frozen
sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
150 g cheese

Method:

Cook the pasta in rapidly boiling salted water till soft. Drain well.
Fry the bacon till crisp.

Prepare the sauce:
Add the garlic, cottage cheese and cream to the bacon in the pan. Simmer till the sauce thickens slightly.

Add the peas and simmer until heated through.

Season with salt and pepper to taste then pour the sauce over the pasta and mix.

Arrange cheese in between.

Serve warm.
