Grilled mushroom pita

    olive oil
  • 2
    cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1
    onion, sliced
  • 250
    assorted mushrooms, cut into chunks
  • 4
    pita breads
  • salad ingredients to serve
  • 15
    freshly chopped origanum
  • 150
    store-bought tzatziki


Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan and sauté the onion until golden brown.

Add the mushrooms and garlic and sauté for 3 - 4 minutes until tender. Remove from the heat.

Add the origanum and season to taste with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Warm up the pita breads and slice open.

Add some salad ingredients into each pita and top with mushrooms.

Drizzle with tzatziki. Serve immediately.
