Ingredients (10)

750 ml flour — cake
300-500 ml sugar
90 ml cocoa powder
10 ml Bicarbonate of soda
160 ml oil
30 ml vinegar — grape
10 ml vanilla — essence
500 ml water — cold
2 top deck chocolate bar — roughly chopped
100 g mixed nuts, roughly chopped icing sugar for dusting — separate entries

Method:

1. Preheat the oven to 200 °C. Line a roasting pan with baking paper.

2. Sift together the dry ingredients and make a well in the middle.

3. Whisk the oil, vinegar, vanilla essence and water and pour into the well. Whisk until well blended.

4. Fold the chocolate and nuts into the batter and turn it into the prepared pan. Bake for 15 minutes or until the top cracks but the cake is still moist. Leave to cool in the pan.

5. Using a cookie cutter, cut out shapes of your choice and dust with icing sugar.
