Baked curried cauliflower

Ingredients (11)

500.00 g potatoes
salt
1.00 kg cauliflower — head
1.00 onion
500.00 g beef mince
25.00 ml sunflower oil
freshly ground black pepper
3.00 eggs
375.00 ml milk
10.00 ml curry powder — medium
nutmeg — ground

Method:

Preheat the oven to 200ºC.

Peel, wash and slice the potatoes thinly. Cook the slices for 5 minutes in boiling salted water.
Scoop them out with a skimmer and let them drain.

Wash and cut the cauliflower in pieces. Cook for 7 minutes in boiling salted water. Scoop them out with the skimmer and let them drain.

Peel, halve and chop the onion finely. Fry the chopped onion for a moment with the minced beef in the sunflower oil and season the mixture with salt and pepper.

Grease an oven dish. Layer the potato slices and spread the mince on top followed by the cauliflower pieces.

Beat the eggs and milk together and season the mixture with the curry powder, nutmeg, salt and pepper. Pour this mixture over the dish.

Bake for 20 to 30 minutes in the oven. Serve Hot.
