The real best restaurants in SA?
So you may have noticed that we are on the hunt for the best of all your favourite foods in SA...
So first we looked for the best steak in Joburg – you all voted - and The Grillhouse in Rosebank came out tops. What was really interesting though were the comments and how many people mentioned The Local Grill, which was not even on the list. So we learned something from that too.
Then we searched for the best pizza in Cape Town and we listed 10 places that pop up regularly on our radar and you voted again. (Thanks you guys rock at it!) This time Massimo’s Pizza Club in Hout Bay took the top spot with an astounding 397 votes. Followed closely by Col 'Cacchio with 379. What was interesting about this vote was how much tweeting went on about it and and how many people got involved that way. We love Twitter @food24 and if you’re not already following us, you should. It’s fun.
This week we begged the question: where is the best curry in KZN to be found? We nominated 12 spots and you voted for The Brittania Hotel. Once again the comments proved very interesting with places like Hollywood getting an extra mention. (And with “The Curry Police” patrolling the comments section – there was much hilarity at the office – check it out.)
And while we are on the subject of the best – we’ve also managed to round up some of our favourite things here at food24 – so go and find your favourite Top 10's – and not only recipes… wine too!
