Greek party

Transport your guests to a Greek Island with these recipes.

17 May 2010

A great way to entertain friends is to go Greek.

I love to slow-cook a lamb for 7 hours. Serve this lamb - which is so soft you can eat it with a spoon - with roasted red peppers, baba ganoush, hummus, warmed pita breads and a real authentic Greek Salad.

Greek culinary regions -  A myriad of dishes and flavours.

Want to cook Greek-style? Choose from any of these Grecian delights...

Kolokitholoulouda yemista - These decadent stuffed zucchini flowers will blow you away.
Domatés yemistes - Stuffed tomatoes with rice and herbs.
Revithosoupa - A honey-coloured chickpea soup.
Youvarlakia - Eggs and lemons create a creamy base.
Sesame fritters - Golden and delicious - one bite and you're hooked.
Patataes lemonades - Crispy fat potato wedges drenched in lemon sauce and spiced to perfection.
Sardelles lemonates - This sardine and potato combination is superb.
Greek tuna - Saucy tuna steaks simmered in white wine.
Avgolemono - A sauce added to many dishes.
Mousssaka - Lamb and aubergine bake.
