Adrian Anthony Gill will remembered for years to come as a writer known for his incredible style and use of language. Food24’s former Restaurant Editor, Cath Shone describes his writing as “unbelievably witty, brilliant and addictive. No one did it better”.
AA Gill’s most famous quotes about food…
“There’s only so much you can do for lasagne in the looks department. The only garnish that would improve it would be a power cut.”
“Spinach is the Kate Moss of vegetables. Goes with everything, boils down to nothing.”
“Pasta is eaten by happy, smiley people having fun with people they love or fancy and are about to shag. Noodles are eaten by people who have no friends.”
