Unbutton your pants, this weekend is all about food.
Friday is here and, for those who aren’t on school holiday, it is a crucial break from work.
Who wants to worry about planning meals when there is so much more that can hold our attention? So put on your fat-pants and loosen those belts, Food24 has a weekend of fantastic food planned.
Friday:
Instead of drinking all that hard-earned cash away, why not call the gang over? Crack open bottles of wine, take out the board games and laugh, while chowing down on cheesy home-made pizza.
Deck out your basic pizza dough with whatever your tummy desires, or take some inspiration from our pizzictionary.
Saturday:
Start the day off with a healthy breakfast of fruit salad skewers with granadilla pulp.
It’s the last Lions vs Bokkies match today so pop into your favourite watering-hole or invite friends and family over for beer, biltong and boerie rolls.
Serve proudly South African snacks such as
mini vetkoek and butternut and biltong paté or boerewors toasties.
If you are entertaining any Poms, give them a taste of home with our Boks vs. Lions menu.
Sunday:
For breakfast make some lovely Eggs Benedict, a great way to start off the day.
From one of our amazing bloggers comes this delicious broccoli and feta soup with a puff pastry lid
Roast ginger and honey pork with Szechuan apple sauce is on the menu for tonight, paired with a glass of Viognier.
But if you have had it up to your eyebrows with cooking, visit our restaurant specials list, and get your loved ones to treat you to dinner.
