Quick and easy carbo-load          

Right folks, it’s the week before the Cape Argus Pick 'n Pay cycle tour. If you’re pedaling around the peninsula on Sunday then you will need to do some serious carbo-loading to power up your ride.

You don’t have to bore yourselves with tasteless bowls of plain old pasta, here are some delicious options to pump those legs full of might and give you the fuel injection you really need.

Here are some super quick and easy bowls of energy.

Pesto pasta with baby tomatoes – packed with flavour and done in a flash. 

Linguini with garlic and mushrooms – simply delicious.

Pasta in 5 minutes – packs a flavour punch in minutes.

Tagliatelle carbonara – an instant classic.

Chorizo and tomato pasta with goats cheese – spicy and satisfying.

Blue cheese and vegetable pasta – a wonderful vegetarian meal.

Fusilli with bacon and chilli
– to kick you in the butt.
