A new column, called Pippa's Friday Night Feasts, will soon feature in Waitrose magazine.
Waitrose magazine has recently announced that they will be taking on the Duchess of Cambridge's little sister, Pippa Middleton, as a columnist. The Guardian reported that she will be giving cooking tips, dining ideas and recipes. Her book wasn't exactly a best-seller (a well-known novelist suggested it would have publishers at Penguin "slitting their wrists") but it appears Pippa hardly seems to mind. She is quoted saying that Waitrose magazine has "always been a source of inspiration to me, for its extensive spectrum of food and beautiful style".William Sitwell, editor of Waitrose Kitchen, said readers would enjoy Middleton's relaxed and easy entertaining ideas. But it appears that not everyone is so willing to jump on the P.Middy bandwagon. The editor of Food and Travel magazine, Guy Woodward tweeted, "Pippa Middleton column for Waitrose mag is so off-key for a brand priding itself on authenticity – and real kick in the teeth for food writers".
