A 22-year-old woman won America's first Masterchef with a chicken breast!
Whitney Miller, a 22 year old student won America's first Masterchef. After thrashing Lee in the semi-finals, she came up against the talented but obnoxious David. The drama was high and the pressure nail-biting and with 10 minutes to go, Whitney dropped her main course! She pulled herself together and managed to cook another one with seconds to spare. She went with her Southern roots and presented a 3 course simple Southern-style menu with a main course of fried chicken breast on creamed collard greens (a cheap leafy vegetable, similar to spinach). Her starter was less than perfect as the prawns were not fully cooked but her dessert ended her meal in triumph and tipped her as the winner.Do you think she deserved to win?
