Bikini and beach season has arrived, but many of us are still clinging to the hope that the excess love handles we gained over winter won’t show themselves yet.

This weekend menu is full of deliciously healthy recipes that will help kick-start your summer bikini body.

Start the weekend off with a tasty grilled salmon trout with coriander and walnut pesto; serve this with a crisp side salad and a baked sweet potato.

Start your morning off with a cup of green tea, it will get your system going and provide your body with all the antioxidants it craves.

To keep you full and energised whip up this ravishing raspberry smoothie.

A tasty warm salad with mushrooms, pears and almonds is great for a summer picnic in the sun.

If you feel like a little more protein try My Easy Cooking’s salad with prawns, pineapple and pomegranate.

Gingered apricot and ostrich skewers served with brown rice and a garden salad is a healthy and delicious supper.

If you feel like eggs, try this egg white omelette with chunky avocado salsa.

For something a little different, a vegan's breakfast bonanza will hit the spot. Non-vegans can poach a couple of eggs to finish off the meal.

A lentil, tomato, avo and chilli salad will most certainly spice up your Sunday.

To end off your healthy weekend, a bright citrus and olive chicken on wild rocket with whole-wheat couscous is the way to go.
