Our braai day menu from the book
Get everyone’s mouths watering with some sticky and spicy Eastern spare ribs , they’ll go down a treat as a snack before you really begin. Tickle the tastebuds with some Dukkah chicken skewers and give the kids a treat with the ultimate gourmet boerewors rolls.
For the main meat finale I suggest a couple of dishes to choose from. You could try a simple t-bone steak with herb butter, or jazz things up with this Camembert sirloin with fried onion rings .
If you are feeling a little more adventurous, the butterflied leg of lamb is wonderful and the pork neck with fillet and blue cheese stuffing will have your guests baying with delight!
For a lovely gooey sweet finish, a bag of marshmallows and a stick from the garden is right on target.
Most importantly, enjoy!
