Eat, Love, Enter

Romance, bromance or just a regular night out – big V-day prizes.

Love is important, that is true, and while Valentine’s Day might not be meaningful to everyone, it IS the official celebratory day for lovers.

Most singletons and plenty of smug-marrieds wish they could sleep through February 14th, but I secretly like it. Because I don’t have a significant other at the moment and “we” don’t have a special day, an anniversary or a month-a-versary, V-day gives me an opportunity to show my cards.  Whether it’s true love or just a crush, I can psych myself up on the day and say…” You're so hot, your ass is on fire”, or something along those lines…

Yes it’s just around the corner, and we are planning a big one, but we need your participation here Romeos and Juliets. Food24 is running a review competition to find out which are SA’s most romantic restaurants.

Its so easy to enter...

So you need to A.) Get to our restaurant section, B.) Look up your favourite restaurant and C.) Write a review telling us why you think it is romantic.

It’s as easy as that to enter. You can review any restaurant you like, so, pull out all the stops, put Shakespeare in his place and win one of these romantic prizes.

The one and only NOBU is offering their Omakase Valentine’s Dinner Special for 2 valued at R1400 to the top review of a romantic Cape Town restaurant. Now that is love…

For Gauteng reviewers Restaurant EI8HTEEN is the perfect place to celebrate V-day and they are making a weekend of it with their hot Valentine's Menu.  The best review for a Gauteng restaurant will be able to treat their booty, their vrou... or their bro (we don’t mind) to a delicious night out.

Durbanites, we have not forgotten you and neither has the fabulous Moyo uShaka Pier.  Check out this sensational Valentine’s Menu, and if your review of a romantic Durban restaurant is the favourite one to land in the Food24 restaurant reviews section then you can enjoy a romantic evening at Moyo with your own specially designed menu worth R700.

So Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to make you flinch. With so much going on and such awesome prizes, why not let the romantic in you off the leash for one day.

Start reviewing. Winners will be announced on Wednesday 10th February.
