The British celebrity chef says she's tired of 'entertaining' on tv.
Well known British chef and TV personality, Delia Smith, told the Telegraph that she would no longer be making TV programmes. This came after having spent 40 years in the industry.'When I started, there was further education in the BBC; now you have to entertain. You have someone telling me I haven’t got time to show this, or I haven’t got time to show that.'The Telegraph reports that Delia is still passionate about teaching people how to cook and is in the process of implementing her cooking tutorials online (Just like our man, Jamie Oliver). Do you think think this is the next big thing in food media? The culinary doyenne who left school at 16 with no qualifications, has sold 21 million cookbooks throughout her career and feels that online is the way to go saying, 'It’s the best thing I’ve ever done. It’s better than television or live demonstration.'Delia's first TV series was aired in 1973. Long-time fans will be sad to see her leave their TV screens but let's hope they all have internet connection. Share your thoughts: By: Tessa Purdon
