The franchise is in a tizz after a photo of an employee standing in the restaurants’ lettuce bins went viral.
The photo originally appeared on 4Chan; a website which allows its users to post images and have discussions anonymously. The picture was posted with the caption "This is the lettuce you eat at Burger King.".Not too long after the picture was posted, 4Chan users identified the Burger King branch in question. The lovely employee who posted it forgot to strip the picture of its geo-location tags! How clever?Bryson Thornton, director of global communications for Burger King, has confirmed that the picture was taken at a Burger King branch, but that it happens to be "independently owned and operated by a Burger King franchisee. The franchisee has taken swift action to investigate this matter and terminated the three employees involved in the incident.". The picture was also posted on this Facebook page. The comments speak for themselves. The reason for the incident is yet to be reported.Read the full story here.Picture: Screenshot of picture from this Facebook group. This is very worrying, do you think this happens all the time?
